Company profile
The Tochigi Factory (TgP) is VM's main factory in Japan, with approximately 500 employees. We produce products such as ESP/ABS, intake pressure sensors and iBooster and continue to grow. In addition, TgP is in charge of the "Lead Manufacturing Plant" for motorcycle ABS, and plays a special role in leading other motorcycle ABS bases.
The Production Control Department plays an important role in coordinating the supply chain, from parts procurement to production planning and delivery of finished products to customers.

You will be primarily responsible for creating and improving packaging specifications for our products and parts, as well as work improvements. You will be responsible for disseminating standards, policies, and other information regarding packaging from Germany, as well as coordinating requests from customers and other factories around the world. Additionally, depending on your experience and suitability, you may be asked to take on other logistics site improvement work or production management work.
Creation and improvement of packaging specifications for products and parts
Creation of new specifications (proposal of optimal specifications)
Improving existing specifications (improving workability and material costs while maintaining quality such as materials and design; improvements to improve transportation quality)
- Improving packaging work
- Packaging cost management (work costs, material costs)
- Coordinating packaging-related requests from the Bosch Group, customers, and suppliers
- Development of group standards and policies
- Horizontal spread of examples from other factories
- Responding to inquiries from customers and suppliers
- Standardization of packaging-related know-how
- Accumulation of know-how using internal education and digital tools
- Support for other factories

Application requirements
- Language: Must be able to speak Japanese and speak English at a level that does not pose a problem for business purposes (required)
- English TOEIC score 600 or above (preferable)
- Proactivity/Positive mindset, willingness to take on new challenges (required)
- Communication skills, team working attitude, cross-cultural understanding (required)
- Experience in improving logistics sites (desirable)
- Work experience in production management or manufacturing/purchasing/business reform departments (desirable)
- Work experience in planning, design, improvement, etc. at a packaging material company or manufacturer (desirable)
- Packaging-related knowledge (or willingness to learn)
