Role Summary

As a development engineer in our Hägglunds team, you work with the development of our drive systems – engines, control systems, accessories and aggregates. You will be part of our internal consultancy together with a number of experienced colleagues, which means varied work where you contribute to several cross-functional and technology-intensive projects across our entire product portfolio

The role means that you have an important role in the development and improvement of our current and future products. You participate throughout the entire product life cycle – from early concept studies and new development to further development and phasing out – and contribute technical decision-making that affects both design and performance.

You work in a familiar environment with close collaboration between development, testing, production and other internal functions, as well as with external and international contacts. In Mellansel, we have access to one of Europe's largest hydraulic experimental laboratories for tests and verification, as well as a state-of-the-art workshop directly connected to the development department. It creates unique opportunities to combine analysis and theory with practical testing in everyday life.

Responsibilities

• Independently responsible for producing and presenting technical decision support in design and development matters where simulations and calculations may be a part.
• Participate in development projects in close cooperation with designers, testing and other functions
• Document and communicate results, both verbally and in writing

Requirements

We are looking for you who have

• Civil or higher education engineer in a relevant technical field
• Knowledge of Swedish and English, in speech and writing
• Experience of working in a CAD environment, for example SolidWorks, AutoCAD or similar
• Experience in development work is advantageous
• Experience with Matlab or similar is advantageous
• We believe that the applicant has a genuine interest in product development and technology. You are structured and have the ability to plan your work in a way that allows you to deliver with quality within given time frames.
• The role involves many internal and external contact areas, which requires that you are communicative, collaborative and find it easy to work together with others. We value that you are curious about new technology, meticulous in your work and have an eye for detail.
