Role Summary

Medical evaluations

Carry out medical examinations upon entry, periodic, change of position and discharge.

Issue certificates of work aptitude.

Medical care

Provide primary medical care to workers in the event of illness or accident.

Determine if a worker should be referred to outside medical services.

Prevention and health surveillance

Participate in epidemiological surveillance programs and health campaigns.

Detect risk factors and propose preventive measures.

Management of disabilities and restrictions

Evaluate medical disabilities and coordinate follow-up with the IMSS or other corresponding institution.

Recommend temporary or permanent adjustments to the worker's functions.

Responsibilities

  • YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE
  • Management of Occupational Health programs
  • Ergonomics.
  • Industrial Hygiene.
  • Medical surveillance of positions with risk exposure (chemicals, noise, etc.).
  • Provide technical assistance and advice in the areas of preventive and occupational medicine.
  • Document and implement epidemiological surveillance systems (chemical, radiation, musculoskeletal, biological, hearing, respiratory and cardiovascular management and conservation).
  • Constant identification of risks to the health and safety of workers. Management of employee medical records.
  • Participation in incident investigation processes and process change management.
  • Help the implementation of training programs for the prevention of occupational diseases.
  • Pre-employment, annual, reintegration, relocation and exit medical evaluations.
  • Participation in internal and external audits.

Prepare the health conditions report “Situational Analysis Report”

  • Review and update the hazard identification, evaluation and risk assessment matrix with respect to health consequences.
  • Monitoring and closure of corrective, preventive and improvement actions.
  • Analyze diseases associated with public health that may affect work. Updating risk assessments of work areas.
  • Create health indicators.
  • Update the professionogram.
  • Training for emergency brigade in medical topics (first aid, etc.).
  • Training for all staff. Prepare monthly reports and reports.
  • Actively participate as a member of the first aid emergency brigade.
  • Attend medical emergencies within the site.
  • Administration of medications to staff and inventory control.
  • Consultation service for employees and monitoring their evolution.
  • Creation and updating of emergency plans

Support medical sessions that take place within the site

  • Preventive health campaigns based on trends or indicators of the Site and public health.
  • Preventive health campaigns (cancer, diabetes, heart, women's health, etc.).
  • Training and health promotion, coordinating vaccination campaigns, health days and training in first aid, ergonomics, stress management, etc.

Regulatory compliance

  • Ensure compliance with occupational health regulations (NOMs such as NOM-030-STPS-2009, NOM-035-STPS-2018, etc.).
  • Prepare and maintain updated medical records and reports for internal or external audits.

Requirements

ABOUT YOUR ROLE

  • Guarantee the physical and mental health of workers through the prevention, diagnosis, care and medical monitoring of work-related illnesses, as well as the promotion of a healthy work environment in accordance with current regulations.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Medicine (Title and Professional License).
  • Specialist in occupational medicine or occupational health and safety
  • STPS standards applicable in occupational health.
  • Anatomy, physiology and first aid.
  • Management of software for clinical records.
  • Intermediate level of Excel / Power Point / Word
  • Experience in Occupational Health and Industrial Safety
  • Passion for teamwork (not individual)
  • Ability to influence and expose oneself to large groups of personnel (talks, training, etc.)
