Role Summary
Your sphere of activity
Independent processing of national and international projects in the areas of flood risk management, hydropower, water development and renaturation (Nature-Based Solutions)
Management and technical responsibility for water management projects - from analysis to the creation of planning and decision-making bases, in particular danger zone planning as well as water development and protection concepts
- Construction, calibration and interpretation of numerical hydraulic models (1D/2D)
- Preparation of hydraulic, hydrological and spatial data bases using GIS, CAD and other software packages
- Collaboration in interdisciplinary teams on innovative solutions for climate change adaptation, hydropower use and sustainable water development
Requirements
- What we want from you – your profile
- Completed studies (diploma/master) in cultural engineering and water management, environmental engineering, civil engineering or comparable degree
- Several years of professional experience (ideally at least 5 years) in the field of water hydraulics, hydraulic engineering or river basin management
- Experience in numerical-hydraulic modeling (1D/2D) as well as in independent processing, ideally managing water management projects
- Advantageous: Knowledge of river engineering, sediment transport, ecohydraulics, habitat modeling, GIS/Python and CAD
- Independent, structured way of working, high communication and team skills
- Very good knowledge of German and English

In addition to the benefits already mentioned, it is important to us to offer a fair and attractive compensation package. For this position, the minimum basic salary according to the collective agreement is € 58,000.00 gross per year (based on 39 hours per week, no all-in, construction KV for employees). Depending on experience and qualifications, a significant overpayment is provided.
