Job description

Location:
Östersund, Jamtland County, Sweden
Work arrangement:
On-site

Role Summary

Within the Civil Engineering business area and Vatten's northern region market area, we work broadly within the entire VA area with everything from early stages and investigations to detailed planning, inspections and training.

In step with climate change, urbanization and increased demands for robust social infrastructure, the VA industry is facing major and complex challenges. Changed rainfall patterns, torrential rains, droughts and increased demands on drinking water safety place new demands on how we plan, build and manage the water and sewage systems of the future.

In this role, you contribute to shaping sustainable and resilient solutions for future VA supply through strategic and technical investigations, such as VA and renewal plans, system analyses, feasibility studies and development of VA strategies, rates and legal issues. The work often takes place in the early stages where we carry out status and needs assessments that are the basis for strategic route choices, and also include coordination of documents, decision-making processes as well as investigations and cost calculations with a focus on climate adaptation and sustainable resource use.

Which projects you participate in are adapted to your experience and interests and can have both a technical, financial and legal nature. The role involves collaboration with colleagues locally, regionally and nationally, as well as working towards a broad client base within the private, municipal and government sector. You get the opportunity to run projects, contribute to innovation and be an active part in the development of a more sustainable and climate-adapted VA sector.

You will start from one of our offices in Norrbotten, Västerbotten, Jämtland, Västernorrland, Dalarna or Gävleborg. Enter the desired place of placement in your application.

Requirements

You are a curious, driven and engaged person with an interest in technology and social issues within VA. You thrive in a dynamic environment and find it easy to collaborate and communicate with both colleagues and customers.

You have relevant education (e.g. engineer) or equivalent experience from the VA industry, community planning, consulting or public activities. You have several years of experience working with investigations in the VA area. Experience in leading projects with responsibility for planning, implementation, finance and customer dialogue is advantageous.

It is advantageous if you are well versed in regulations, technology and system perspectives within the VA area. Experience of working with a comprehensive approach to a municipality's VA supply as well as leading work processes and contributing to the production of data for strategic decisions within the VA area is also seen as a plus.

  • As a person, you are analytical, business-minded and have a holistic perspective. You are self-motivated, flexible and comfortable with building relationships and conducting dialogue with decision makers.
