Role Summary

As a Senior Engineer, you will play a central role in the development of our activities within bridges and civil engineering. You will become an important professional sparring partner and will be responsible for both projects and customers. Your tasks will include

• Design, planning and preparation of tender materials
• Quality assurance and technical sparring within bridges and civil engineering
• Project management and professional management of projects within operation, maintenance and new construction
• General and special inspection tasks

Contribution to tender work and business development across Civil Engineering.

In this job, you will have the opportunity to gradually take on greater responsibility for the department's operation and maintenance tasks on larger buildings. In the long term, we see the role developing towards team management.

Requirements

• We imagine that you have a solid technical background and experience from the consultancy industry or similar. You can have too
• Education as a civil or diploma engineer in a building or construction field combined with a minimum of 10 years of experience.
• Experience with bridges, tunnels, foundations, retaining walls, water structures or other plant structures
• Documented experience with operation and maintenance of bridges and structures
• Experience with project management, subject management or coordination of complex construction projects
• Danish and English skills at a professional level.
• In addition, we emphasize good collaboration skills, innovative thinking, an interest in sustainability and a desire to work closely with customers and project teams.

AFRY has 9 locations in Denmark. Transportation has employees in Herlev, Herning and Aarhus. Your starting point will be the office in Herlev.

Position description

Help shape the infrastructure of the future and play a key role in exciting bridge and construction projects for some of Denmark's most important builders.

Transportation in AFRY develops and advises on sustainable transport infrastructure for future generations. You will be part of an ambitious interdisciplinary team that prides itself on finding functional, sustainable and innovative solutions within e.g. roads, bridges and tunnels, railways, Mechanical and electrical installations in tunnels and ITS systems related to traffic information on motorways and many other construction tasks.

In Civil Engineering, which is part of Transportation, you will be part of a strong professional environment that works with e.g. roads, drainage, railways, bridges, tunnels, geotechnics and civil engineering across Denmark.
