As an Environmental and Quality Coordinator you are responsible for safeguarding and further developing quality and environmental performance within our organization. You ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, internal guidelines and applicable quality and environmental standards within our various Industrial Services locations.
You work closely with management, operational teams and the various locations. Based on your expertise, you identify risks and improvement opportunities and translate these into practical and workable solutions.
As an Environmental and Quality Coordinator, your duties include the following:
- Preparing and analyzing reports regarding quality and environmental management systems for management / (internal) stakeholders;
- Identifying relevant environmental aspects, quality issues, risks and improvement opportunities;
- Following relevant legislation and regulations and translating them into practical guidelines and concrete actions for the organization;
- Maintaining contacts and communication with municipalities, government agencies and other external parties in the context of permits and reporting obligations;
- Managing, structuring and keeping quality and environmental documentation up to date;
- Monitoring progress and implementation of improvement measures and actions;
- Supporting and advising the various locations on quality, environmental and permit issues;
- Carrying out or supervising internal audits and following up on the resulting improvement actions;
- In coordination with the HSE coordinator, temporarily taking over daily operational safety and health issues in his absence.
The position also includes regular visits to the other Industrial Services locations. You are visibly present on the work floor and provide support, guidance and control on location.
Requirements
For the position of Environmental and Quality Coordinator we are looking for a professional and proactive colleague with:
- Completed training in the field of the environment, quality or a similar field;
- At least five years of relevant work experience in a similar position;
- Demonstrable knowledge of and experience with ISO9001;
- Training or demonstrable experience as an internal auditor in accordance with NEN-EN-ISO 19011;
- Preferably knowledge of ISO 14001 and/or VCA, or the willingness to further develop this knowledge;
- Good knowledge of relevant environmental and quality legislation and the ability to translate this into practice;
- Strong communication skills and the ability to switch between operational staff, management and external agencies;
- An independent, structured and proactive working attitude;
- The ability to support multiple locations and maintain overview.
