Role Summary

Key Responsibilities and Activities

The enterprise architect will

Capture and Structure information

Capture and maintain catalogs and maps (Requirements, Business, IS, Data & Infrastructure) of the Architecture.

Participate in governance committees to validate the alignment of transformations or solutions with the target architecture and standards.

Respect and apply the principles and architecture framework of the company (Architecture Framework). 2. Drive the Transformation

Propose IS transformation and simplification scenarios

Advise and support Project Managers and Solutions/Business Architects during the study phase, to define transition scenarios in compliance with the Strategic Objectives

Evaluate the impact of new solutions (costs, risks, security, deadlines) on the existing architecture. 3. Monitoring and Innovation

Integrate developments in the client’s Architecture framework

Monitor emerging technologies (AI, Cloud, Big Data, Cybersecurity, etc.), methods (Agile, DevOps) and new uses.

Identify and promote innovative solutions and practices likely to bring value to the company.

Requirements

Hard Skills

• Expertise in Enterprise Architecture: Mastery of the main frameworks (e.g. TOGAF, Zachman), languages (Archimate, BPMN, UML) and modeling tools (Enterprise Architect, Aris).
• Understanding of strategic issues: Ability to capture and analyze transformation needs.
• Business alignment: Strong ability to understand business processes and regulatory constraints.
• Extensive IS knowledge: Good knowledge of application architectures, techniques and data management (data sourcing).
• Risk management and security: Good knowledge of cybersecurity issues, compliance (GDPR, Export Control, etc.) and risk management

Soft Skills (Behavioral Skills)

• Strategic vision and capacity for analysis/synthesis: Ability to gain perspective and simplify complex problems.
• Leadership and influence: Ability to convince stakeholders (business and IT) and unite around a common vision.
• Good communication: Know how to popularize technical subjects and adapt the speech to different audiences (Management Committee, technical teams, users).
• Rigor and organization: Method in the construction and management of the architecture repository.
• Motivation and cooperation: Ensure effective teamwork.

Training and Experience

• Education: Bac +5 diploma (Engineering school, Master in Computer Science, or equivalent).
• Significant experience (5 to 10 years) in the fields of IS Architecture, IS Consulting, or as a Business Architect, Solution/Domain Architect, with progression towards the role of Enterprise Architect
