Role Summary
Today, CS Group Canada is looking for a software verification engineer. Its role will be to test embedded software applications for aeronautical and space systems, such as engine control, flight management systems and display/avionics systems. The position could evolve into software development.
Responsibilities
- Carry out software tests in accordance with standard DO-178.
- Develop and execute relevant tests on test platforms to verify design compliance.
- Debug issues that occurred during the motor control software development cycle.
- Ensure traceability between all software design and testing artifacts.
- Perform independent peer reviews of tests produced by other team members.
- Write all final technical documents.
- Provide clear tracking of progress and workload to your manager.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of the team's performance (quality, efficiency, compliance with deadlines).
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical or computer engineering, or equivalent.
- 2 to 6 years of experience in a similar position.
- Experience with motor control software.
- Interest in troubleshooting complex software issues.
- Knowledge of the DO-178 standard.
- Proficiency in C and scripting languages such as Python.
- Knowledge of SCADE, Matlab/Simulink or equivalent.
- Knowledge of Rational RTRT and/or LDRA testing tools.
- Knowledge of software: Microsoft Office, DOORS, SVN.
- Basic knowledge of communication protocols such as CAN, ARINC, RS-422, Ethernet.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, team spirit.
- Curiosity, autonomy, proactivity and ability to find solutions and compromises.
