Role Summary

We are recruiting an Embedded AI Engineer to join our Space Business Unit within the On Board Software activity department. This entity develops satellite software and maintains platform software (the heart of the satellites) for the entire CNES Myriade range. Our Engineers participate in all activities of the software V-cycle: software specification, design, coding and validation. We work for both traditional space and Newspace players.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in pre-sales around AI in space for embedded applications.
  • Know how to apply AI methods to problem solving from the selection of the approach to the concrete implementation on a case study (dataset recovery and management, training, validation, optimization, porting to target and documentation).
  • Participate in embedded software development projects in the space domain with an AI component
  • Maintain monitoring of AI activities
  • Know how to manage AI projects
  • The technical environment
  • AI algorithms such as CNN, Deep learning, object detection (Yolo), computer vision…
  • AI frameworks (Pytorch / Tensor Flow Lite…)
  • Embedded cards from GPU to microcontroller
  • C, Python, Linux

Requirements

With a Bac+5 engineering school education or equivalent, you have at least 3 years of experience in embedded technology, AI and ideally in the space sector. You know how to demonstrate versatility regarding application subjects (image, telecom, edge processing, etc.). You supervise technically and actively participate in the development of projects.

Do you have skills in communicating with a variety of people, which allows you to adapt effectively to each context? Are you methodical with a sense of organization that helps you carry out your missions efficiently? Are you able to work on several projects? Then you are the gem we are looking for!
