Role Summary

As an Electrical & Automation Engineer at Konecranes Port Services, you are the technical beacon of the team. You delve into complex malfunctions, communicate directly with our service technicians and independently commission new or modified installations. You determine which steps are needed to get a crane running again safely, reliably and according to your quality standards.

You assess components, see improvement opportunities that others miss and discuss them directly with customers, suppliers and engineering. You are the one who keeps the overview, makes the right choices and technically takes the work to a higher level.

Resolving complex electrical faults and supporting technicians.

Carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance, including checking, testing and adjusting installations.

Commissioning new or modified components and installations.

Identifying deviations and suggesting improvements or optimizations to customers.

Collaborate with engineering, sales and internal teams for technical questions and solutions.

Reporting activities and maintaining contact with customers and suppliers.

Participate in a consignment service (24/7), if desired.

Requirements

  • An MBO-4 course or HBO course in the field of Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics.
  • At least 5 years of work experience in programming PLCs and commissioning machines.
  • Knowledge of Siemens S7, TIA Portal, WinCC and Siemens drives (Sinamics and Masterdrive).
  • It is nice if you are also familiar with Siemens S5, ABB Master and ABB ACS‑800/880.
  • You can read and assess technical drawings and diagrams.
  • Good command of the Dutch and English language.
  • You are structured, have strong communication skills and work solution-oriented.
  • In possession of VCA, VOG and driving license B.
