This role is focused on the emergency department of the hospital and will involve providing clinical support to the account managers in the sales process to help identify and present operational workflow efficiencies in the emergency rooms to help support the value proposition and align improved outcomes with the Abbott Point of Care product portfolio.

This position is focused on the hospital emergency department and involves providing clinical support to account managers during the sales process. The goal is to help identify and present efficiencies in emergency room operational workflow, to support the value proposition and align improved clinical outcomes with the APOC product portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Sells technical products, services, installations, and configurations to assigned customer for specific technical product and/or application of product.
  • Provides technical interface between customer and company engineering, R&D, medical affairs and program management representatives.
  • Stakeholders will include Chief of ED, CNO, and other emergency physicians, nurses and lab personnel.
  • Research customer technical specifications and requirements with current or potential technical
  • specifications of company products.
  • Prepares and conducts technical sales briefings for customer and company representatives. Able to provide workflow improvements and financial cost optimizations based on customer provided data or real-world evidence taken live.
  • Develops potential technical specifications, pricing considerations and contract requirements.
  • Prepares sales forecasts.
  • Investigates new applications or improvements to products with customers.
  • Sell technical products, services, installations and configurations to assigned customers for a product specific technique and/or product application.
  • Provide technical interface between the customer and representatives from engineering, R&D, medical affairs and company program management.
  • Stakeholders will include the head of the emergency department, the ICC, as well as other emergency physicians, nurses and laboratory staff.
  • Research technical specifications and customer requirements based on specifications current or potential techniques of the company's products.
  • Prepare and lead technical briefings for customer and company representatives. Be able to improve workflow and optimize financial costs based on data provided by customers or real-world evidence collected live.
  • Develop potential technical specifications, pricing considerations and contract requirements.
  • Prepare sales forecasts.
  • Explore new applications or product enhancements with customers.

Requirements

  • Completed bachelor’s degree required. MSc, PHD in medical sciences is preferred.
  • Six to ten years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to maintain consistent momentum with multiple products and across multiple sales cycles.
  • Ability to clearly, concisely and accurately convey communications in English and French.
  • Ability to form and develop interpersonal, professional relationships; display socially and professionally appropriate behavior.
  • Ability to influence and lead without direct authority.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills; analytical and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to provide solutions and contingency plans through the comprehensive review of alternatives.
  • Ability to speak confidently in public and present material to Executive-level management.
  • Six Sigma black belt and understanding of operational efficiencies is preferred.
  • Knowledge of MS-Office Software and CRM Databases.
  • Travel is approximately 50%.
  • Bilingual, French and English, preferred.
  • The annual base salary for this position ranges from $99,750.00 to $146,300.00 CAD. The salary range provided applies to Canada only and does not apply to any other locations outside of Canada.
