Role Summary

We are recruiting an Earth Observation System Architect to join our Space Business unit within our Space Processing & Intelligence agency specializing in the processing and hybridization of spatial data.

CS Group is one of the European leaders in the processing and dissemination of spatial data. We contribute to several major European earth observation programs, in cooperation with the French (CNES) and European (ESA, EUMETSAT) space agencies. We also participate in the mission definition phases, the development of image processing and calibration chains, and data dissemination architectures to end users. We also provide institutions with advanced geospatial data. Finally, CS Group is a major contributor to renowned open source components of spatial data value chains.

Responsibilities

You are involved in definition phases (0, A, B), and in the functional and technical definition of earth observation architectures.

You are joining the enthusiastic earth observation team located in Toulouse, within this team your missions are as follows:

Study of mission needs

Definition of solution architectures, functional and technical definition of data processing or dissemination chains, as part of responses to calls for tender and projects

  • Validation and optimization of architectures
  • Project expertise
  • Monitoring of standards, business and technical solutions
  • The technical environment
  • Optics, SAR, Altimetry,
  • Processing L0, L1, L2, orchestration,
  • Image quality,
  • Cataloging, Datalake
  • Cloud and HPC

Requirements

With a Bac+5/8 engineering school education or equivalent, you have 10 years of experience in the space field, with significant experience in the following areas of expertise: Ground segment architecture, earth observation, PDGS, satellite image processing, system architecture and functional architecture.

  • Mastery of remote sensing algorithms, image processing and digital infrastructures is essential to the performance of your duties.
  • Do you have a very good capacity for analyzing needs, which allows you to define suitable system architectures while evaluating and optimizing their performance? Are you a good listener, able to popularize complex technical concepts and enjoy teamwork? Then you are the gem we are looking for!
