Role Summary
Responsibilities and tasks
Develop and oversee strategic sales and marketing plans to achieve company sales targets and revenue objectives in the ERP market.
Act as the main representative of the company and main signatory in sales cycles with new clients, by personally leading the steps with prospects, the negotiation of agreements and the signing of net new contracts.
Mobilize and inspire the distributed sales team, by directly supervising the resource dedicated to sales to the installed base and the resource supporting net new sales, while actively participating in conquering new market shares.
Establish sales territories, quotas and ambitious targets for the team.
Generate sales leads through all relevant channels and personally build a net new prospect pool.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners and stakeholders, acting as an escalation point and trusted advisor for strategic accounts.
Analyze market trends, competitive activities and customer feedback in the ERP sector to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
Prepare and present regular sales and marketing reports, forecasts and recommendations to senior management.
Advantages
Knowledge of the Acumatica ERP solution is an important asset.
Knowledge of Abak and/or Manitou ERP solutions is an asset.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- 5+ years of software sales experience, ideally in ERP or enterprise software.
- 3+ years of experience leading a sales team.
- Demonstrated ability to personally close net new sales and act as a negotiator and lead signatory in complex sales cycles.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills, critical thinking, tenacity and willingness to accept risks appropriately.
- Flexibility to travel as needed for client meetings, industry events and conferences.
The potential salary range for this position is $100,000 to $130,000 per year, in addition to a commission plan, and eligibility for a bonus or merit program. Final compensation will depend on experience, skills, market conditions and internal equity.
