  • Demonstrated ability to influence product direction across multiple engineering teams and drive large cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, and modern data infrastructure.
  • Comfortable working at both strategic and technical levels, partnering closely with senior engineering leaders on architectural decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with engineers, executives, customers, and external audiences.

TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE

  • Experience working with databases such as ClickHouse, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or other distributed or analytical database systems.
  • Familiarity with modern data infrastructure, including data lakes, ETL pipelines, CDC, orchestration platforms, and cloud-native data architectures.
  • Ability to discuss technical concepts such as schema management, query planning, storage engines, replication, consistency models, backup and recovery, and distributed systems design with engineering teams.
  • Experience shipping or contributing to complex infrastructure capabilities such as replication, disaster recovery, storage systems, consistency models, or backup and restore workflows.

BONUS

  • Experience working on or contributing to open-source projects.
  • Experience in high-growth startup environments.
