Role Summary
Position description
Do you have strong professional expertise, a sharp commercial eye and the desire to create results through people? Then you might be our new department manager for Rambøll's MEP department in Roskilde.
As department manager, you will be responsible for Rambøll's MEP department in Roskilde – a centrally located office just five minutes' walk from the station. Here you will be part of a strong local construction environment with two departments, KON and MEP, where around 40 construction workers, engineers, installers, constructors, project managers and assistants collaborate closely to create value for our customers. The office is characterized by strong unity, high professionalism and a culture where we help each other and share knowledge across the board.
We work with both new construction, renovation and transformation tasks. The order book is strong, and the projects range widely – from housing, schools and shopping centers to office and commercial buildings. Among other things, we have been involved in Knud Højgaard's House in Copenhagen, where a funk building from the 1950s has been completely renovated. In addition, we help the Capital Region and a number of municipalities in Zealand to convert old gas boilers to district heating and heat pumps. Rambøll works purposefully to accelerate the green transition in construction, and as a department manager you are expected to take an active part in this agenda and help drive it forward.
You will be responsible for setting the direction for the department and creating the best framework for employees, customers and the business. This means, among other things, that you must:
Lead, inspire and develop employees through present, inclusive and clear leadership.
Drive business development, sales efforts and offer work with a focus on profitable growth.
Ensure a healthy business and support high-quality project deliveries in close cooperation with project managers and subject experts.
Collaboration with managers and colleagues across Rambøll to ensure strong solutions, knowledge sharing and good resource allocation.
Develop and maintain strong customer relationships and strengthen Rambøll's position in the market.
Recruit new employees who strengthen the department's competences, capacity and development.
Requirements
Your skills
We imagine that you can recognize yourself in several of the following points:
- You have several years of experience from a leading role in the consultancy and/or construction industry and documented experience in leading employees and creating results.
- You have a strong installation technical profile within either plumbing or electricity and a solid understanding of the complexity of the MEP profession and interaction with other disciplines.
- You have experience with strategy, budgeting and goal management and can translate strategic goals into concrete actions and results.
- You are commercially sound and have experience with business development, sales work as well as the development and implementation of business plans with a focus on profitable growth.
- You have a natural focus on management, well-being and development and can create a framework for knowledge sharing, collaboration and high professionalism in the department.
- Do you have questions about the position?
- You are very welcome to contact the hiring manager, Lasse Peter Otzen, on telephone 51615747 or email LPO@ramboll.dk if you have any questions about the position.
