Data Expert Developer - Transport - Nantes

Role Summary

As a Senior Developer Engineer, you are attached to the “Data & IA” agency, dedicated to our Transport clients and based in Nantes. The agency brings together around 80 employees and addresses several major transport clients (rail, road and postal).

Your role and missions

Integrated within a team of several collaborators (Data engineers, Project Manager, product managers), you carry out your activities where the key words are: Agility and Initiative!

You understand the architecture of the project, developed by the architect, while providing a critical perspective. You work in close collaboration with our cross-functional technical expertise units (DevOPS & Industrialization, Technological Monitoring, Architecture), in order to jointly define the right technical solutions;

You develop the most complex functionalities and set up bases allowing industrialization;

You carry out code reviews and provide Software Craftsmanship best practices;

You provide technical supervision to the team of Data engineers (give the necessary directives to designers/developers in order to guarantee a high-performance application that meets the customer's needs & is maintainable, provide the necessary support, control the achievements);

You are an actor in industrialization as well as the continuous integration of projects;

You actively participate in the capitalization of the project and the implementation of tools to secure and optimize the delivery of the project;

You participate in anomaly investigations and identify avenues for resolution. “Looking for a needle in a haystack” is your favorite expression!

You report technical difficulties to cross-functional technical experts for sharing and resolution.

• Technologies: Spark, Scala, SQL, Python, Airflow, Nifi, Kafka, QlikReplicate
• Cloud: Azure, AWS
• Environments: Databricks, Cloudera
• Release managers: Gitlab, Azure DevOPS
• CI/CD: Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform
• Data visualization: Power BI, QlikSense

In parallel with your mission, you can also intervene on cross-functional subjects, such as becoming a trainer, on subjects that excite you, or even participate in challenges around innovation and digital technology.

Requirements

• You are a graduate of an engineering school or university equivalent and have at least 5 years of experience in development and initial experience in technical management.
• You have predominant technical skills in Spark, SQL and a development language (ideally Scala).
• You have a good spirit of analysis and synthesis, a sense of interpersonal skills, you are versatile and autonomous.
