Role Summary
As a cyber security software engineer for automated mobile machines (m/f/d), you will be significantly involved in the conception and implementation of robust platform-level security mechanisms on our QNX-based embedded systems. Your main task is to translate security requirements into concrete software and system implementations. You design and integrate secure boot chains, image verification and root-of-trust concepts and also implement security measures for vehicle communication (CAN, CAN-FD, Ethernet). The use of cryptographic procedures as well as support with key and certificate management and the implementation of secure software update concepts are also among your central tasks. In addition, you will support security testing, debugging and troubleshooting of the target hardware and will actively participate in security-related documentation and technical reviews.
Requirements
Education: Completed university degree in engineering, computer science, electrical engineering or a comparable qualification
Personality and way of working: Very good communication skills, solution-oriented, structured and analytical way of working, high sense of responsibility for quality and safety, ability to understand and communicate technical concepts in an understandable way, as well as enthusiasm for future technologies such as autonomous driving and AI
Experience and Knowledge: Solid experience in embedded software development (preferably C/C++), strong practical experience in embedded or automotive cybersecurity, solid understanding of secure boot and hardware root of trust, cryptography and key management, operating system level security concepts (process isolation, memory protection), experience with QNX or other POSIX-compliant real-time operating systems, knowledge of automotive communication protocols (CAN, CAN-FD, Ethernet), ability to design and implement Security mechanisms, safe working close to the hardware and debugging of security-relevant topics; Experience with TI TDA4 SoCs and Texas Instruments PSDK, knowledge of AUTOSAR security concepts, experience with secure OTA update mechanisms
Languages: Business fluent English; Knowledge of German is an advantage
