Role Summary

Cost Manager

Do you know your craft when it comes to construction budgeting? Do you enjoy being the one who ensures that the projects stand on a solid financial foundation? Should your next position be one with influence and impact – not only in projects, but also in relation to internal workflows? Then there may very well be a match between you and this role at Ramboll!

Our Cost Management team is growing, and we are now looking for a colleague who is well-grounded in calculation and budgeting and who will help take our services to the next level! With us, you will have the opportunity to deal with many different construction finance matters, which span all types of construction, at the same time that you - together with our experienced Cost Managers - help to drive the team's continued development. Do you want to go on the trip?

As Cost Manager, you will be responsible for facilitating the process around pricing through various phases, as you prepare construction budgets for both smaller and larger, complex interdisciplinary projects. You will play a vital role in ensuring well-documented cost calculations that support our high standards of technical precision and reliability. The work is done in close collaboration with colleagues from various disciplines – including engineers, architects, project managers and specialists – who will also take an active part in qualifying the calculation.

The role includes both responsibility and influence, and you will have ample opportunity to leave your mark - not only on the individual tasks, but also on the internal processes and cross-functional collaboration in the team. You will be part of a small but close-knit team, which is based on extensive knowledge of construction economics and costing.

At Rambøll, we work on everything from cogeneration plants to super hospitals and everything in between - so there are plenty of professional challenges and complex projects to dive into for those of you who geek out on budgets and thrive on making the numbers work.

Responsibilities

Your primary areas of responsibility will be

  • Preparation of plant calculations and financial overview
  • Put together a transparent construction budget
  • Overview of all construction trade groups
  • Provide financial support and quality checks to our colleagues
  • Responsible and proactive on own projects
  • Participation in project and sales meetings
  • Ensure correct documentation of the financial framework, risks and construction budgets

Contribute to the optimization of internal processes and financial flow.

About you

  • Have a few years of experience from a similar role, e.g. as tender manager, calculator or calculator, within construction or facilities, preferably in turnkey contracts
  • Has an educational background as a building designer, engineer or similar - or has gained insight into technical subjects through experience as a calculator

Has a flair for numbers, structure and details

  • Can manage the process around cost calculations independently and communicates effortlessly with the parties involved – engineers and other specialists as well as architects, project managers etc.
  • Possess a solid overall understanding of construction processes, which enables you to prepare precise calculations and assess the economics of complex projects with several technical disciplines involved.
  • Can communicate fluently in Danish, both orally and in writing.
  • Outgoing and open to creating relationships both internally and externally
  • What we can offer you
  • Investment in your development
  • Great inspiration from colleagues, customers and projects
  • Become part of a fund-owned company, which ensures long-term and independent development
  • A flexible working environment with the possibility to work from home
  • Pension scheme via PFA including paid health insurance
  • Technical excursions and social events

Projects which are not only professionally stimulating, but where you also help to make a real difference.
