Correspondent in Colombia / Diario Cristiano

Role Summary

Diario Cristiano, the Spanish edition of Christian Daily International, a global news brand of The Christian Post, is looking for an experienced correspondent in Colombia to join the team. The correspondent in Colombia will work on various stories from across the country that affect the Church and may be of interest to international audiences. You will work under the direction of the Latin America editor writing an agreed number of articles per month.

Responsibilities

Work closely with the Latin American editor to provide solid news coverage of events and developments in Colombia.

• Submit the agreed number of articles per month, following the agreed length and format requirements.
• Ensure that articles are appropriately written in terms of content, accuracy, fluency, style, grammar, spelling and punctuation.
• Ensure content is written and presented with clarity and a biblical worldview, reflecting the values, tone and approach of CDI and DC.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent degree.

Excellent Spanish writing skills.

• Ability to work in a highly relational and intercultural environment.
• At least three years of proven experience working as an online news editor or comparable role.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines without compromising editorial standards.
• Proficiency in English, preferred but not required.
• Agree with the statement of faith of Christian Daily International and Diario Cristiano.
