Role Summary
Do you have an eye for detail and do you see what others overlook? Do you combine technical insight with strong organizational skills? Then the role of Materials & Constructions Coordinator at SGS INTRON is tailor-made for you.
In this versatile position you are active in both technical and coordinating terms.
- As a technical construction damage consultant, you and colleagues investigate various issues related to construction damage. Consider:
- Leaks, concrete damage, coating damage
- Cracks in concrete structures, such as parking garages or floors
- Collapsed building(parts)
You will work on various projects throughout the Netherlands where you research, inspect and report. Your passion lies in practically solving difficult technical problems. You guide the customer throughout the entire process: from the first inspection to reporting and advice. You are responsible for the entire process of assignments, from acquisition to realization. You are able to serve existing customer groups and tap into new customer groups.
At the same time, as a Coordinator you will lead the Materials and Constructions team. You manage the team, ensure the correct deployment of people and resources, monitor the progress and quality of projects and act as a substantive point of contact. You are a cooperative foreman: you also take on projects yourself and collaborate substantively with your colleagues.
A selection of our projects
- Collapse of parking garage in Nieuwegein
- Collapse of Wilhelmina Tower in Valkenburg
- Facade cladding Schiphol
- Airport roofing in Dubai
Requirements
- Can you take up the challenge?
- You have a passion for the profession, a keen eye for quality and know how to clearly analyze technically complex situations. You also have the ability to manage a team, connect them and include them in your vision.
To be well prepared as a materials & constructions coordinator, you must have completed a higher professional education (HBO) education in civil engineering, materials science and/or construction engineering, supplemented with a number of years of work experience. Relevant work experience in the construction industry is nice, but not required. Preferably you also have knowledge of or affinity with architectural details and structural safety. But the position requires more: a service-oriented attitude and a commercial view. Because of your nature to really help customers, you also see opportunities for SGS INTRON. In addition to working together with colleagues, we also like to see that you work well independently. And in dynamic situations you keep a cool head. Your oral and written command of the Dutch and English language is good.
