Coordinator - Field Services Operator at Wabtec in Madrid, MD, Spain.
Role Summary
Mission
Provide specialized technical support in maintenance activities, guarantees, retrofits and incident resolution of the Wabtec portfolio, acting as a technical reference for the Field Services team and as an operational link between field technicians and the Field Services Leader, contributing to the daily coordination of activities and the technical development of the team.
Responsibilities
- Carry out technical preventive and corrective maintenance activities, retrofits and repairs at client facilities.
- Diagnose and resolve complex incidents in Wabtec products and systems.
- Act as a technical reference for field technicians, providing support and advice in problem solving.
- Coordinate daily team activities.
- Ensure the correct application of technical procedures, quality standards and EHS requirements.
- Collaborate with the Leader in planning and monitoring jobs, workloads and priorities.
- Track critical technical issues and escalate those that require additional support.
- Participate in the implementation and monitoring of Field Modification Instructions (FMI).
- Verify the correct completion of technical reports and service documentation.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and propose corrective and preventive actions.
- Support the training and technical development of less experienced team members.
- Maintain fluid communication with clients during the execution of field work.
- Provide support to the Leader in the coordination of resources, tools, protective equipment and materials when required.
- Promote a culture of safety, quality and customer orientation within the team.
Requirements
Training and Professional Experience
- Intermediate or Higher Degree Training Cycle in Electricity, Electromechanics or similar.
- Minimum experience of 3 to 5 years performing maintenance, start-up or industrial technical service activities.
- Demonstrable experience in diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical and pneumatic breakdowns.
- Valuable experience in a railway environment.
- Previous experience coordinating teams or acting as a technical reference.
Languages
Basic/intermediate English valuable.
