Role Summary

Reporting directly to the operational manager, you inspect cargo transported by ships such as petroleum products, chemicals, cement, coal, agricultural products, fishing products and other materials during loading and unloading to certify their compliance with specifications and standards. You also carry out control measurements and sample taking, according to standards, within oil depots, factories and also various storage locations. Interventions can be scheduled for any time, including weekends and public holidays.

Requirements

  • Minimum Baccalaureate education, you are interested in the field of control and quality.
  • Good knowledge of using Word / Excel / Outlook software is expected.
  • You speak English if possible.

Our rapidly developing Reunion Agency (16 people) specializes in maritime expertise/inspection, sampling and analysis of heavy goods, hydrocarbons and minerals as well as HACCP Audits.

As such, your missions will be as follows

You will carry out inspections and carry out checks (heavy goods, hydrocarbons and ores), gauging of hydrocarbon products.

You will carry out merchandise counts and quantity recognition.

You take samples and prepare samples, ensuring their traceability.

You follow up on ship arrivals.

You carry out your missions in compliance with work procedures, control and quality, health, safety and environmental rules.

You record the results of the checks and complete the monitoring materials.

Due to the varied activities of the company, you will be required to work in confined spaces, cold rooms/airlocks, outdoors as well as on board ships. Travel will be expected.
