As part of the development of our Africa Business Unit, we are looking for a Content Manager for French-speaking Africa.

About the position

Reporting to the Business Manager of the Africa Business Unit, the Content Manager is responsible for the planning, production and optimization of editorial content aimed at generating traffic, engagement and conversions.

You will play a central role in the execution of the editorial roadmap, ensuring alignment between SEO objectives, business priorities and audience expectations.

Depending on the needs of the team, you will also be able to coordinate and support Content Writers or Junior Content Managers, in order to guarantee the quality, consistency and effectiveness of the content produced.

This role requires strong editorial skills, a good understanding of SEO and strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

Responsibilities

Content planning and production

• Plan and manage content production based on editorial calendar and SEO priorities.
• Conduct keyword research and competitive analyzes to identify new content opportunities.
• Write detailed editorial briefs including target keywords, structure, editorial angle and brand tone.
• Supervise content production, from ideation to publication, ensuring quality and meeting deadlines.
• Ensure that all content published is aligned with business objectives, brand guidelines and audience expectations.
• When necessary, coordinate the work of writers or Junior Content Managers, monitor their progress and validate their deliverables.

Content optimization and maintenance

• Regularly update and optimize existing content in order to improve natural referencing (SEO) and user experience.
• Monitor content performance using analytical tools and propose improvement actions.
• Guarantee compliance with SEO best practices: internal networking, metadata, page structure and semantic optimization.
• Collaborate with SEO teams to monitor performance indicators and adjust the editorial strategy.

Editorial quality and collaboration

• Work closely with Content Writers, Content Editors and Designers to ensure the consistency and quality of published content.
• Proofread and validate drafts to ensure accuracy, clarity and compliance with editorial guidelines.
• Participate in content reviews and team meetings to improve editorial processes.
• Contribute to the adaptation or localization of content for different markets when necessary.

Profile sought

• Excellent writing skills in French.
• Good command of professional English to collaborate with international teams.
• Significant experience in content management, web writing or SEO, ideally in the sports, sports betting or iGaming sectors.
• Good understanding of the fundamentals of SEO and digital content.
• Excellent organizational and editorial project management skills.
• Ability to coordinate several projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
• Attention to detail and commitment to editorial quality.
• Interest in sports news and the online gaming industry.
• Experience with a CMS (WordPress or equivalent) and SEO tools is a plus.
