Construction Work Coordinator – Architecture/Civil/Building – Mandate Hydro-Québec – Nunavik

Role Summary

SGS is looking for a Civil Works Coordinator for a mandate in Nunavik until December 18.

• Position: Senior Coordinator - Civil/Architecture/Building Mechanics
• Project: Construction or sustainability work for our autonomous networks (thermal power plant)
• Location: Nunavik
• Desired start date: as early as possible
• Expected end date: December 18, 2026

Schedule: 14/7, 21/7 or 28/8.

Additional information: Civil engineering experience is required. Knowledge of architecture and/or industrial and electrical mechanics is an asset. The resource will be called upon to support site managers as well as the works manager in the exercise of their duties.

Air transportation, accommodation and meals will be provided by Hydro-Québec.

The successful candidate must demonstrate autonomy, resourcefulness and adaptability, while being motivated to have an enriching work experience in an isolated region.

Requirements

• Must hold a DEC in architecture/building/civil or equivalent and be able to demonstrate experience in these areas of expertise
• Experience in coordinating construction work
• Must have completed ASP construction training (general health and safety courses on construction sites)
• Hold a valid driving license (class 5)
• Have knowledge of IT tools and MS Office family software
• Master the spoken and written French language
• Work Safety Code
