Construction Project Manager - Barcelona

Role Summary

We are looking for a Construction Project Manager for Barcelona, Spain for different projects.

Responsibilities

• Active and dynamic person, with a great capacity for supervision and coordination, of several works at the same time, since they will have to spend many hours a day on site coordinating and supervising different Contractors with a very significant production volume.
• Responsible for verifying the development of the construction of the project.
• You will coordinate the logistics of the remodeling project of an occupied building in the construction phase in its different phases and with different Contractors.
• Follow-up meetings with the building Operator, to guarantee logistical coordination, security against intrusion-theft (internal/external) as well as fire safety.
• Verifies that the Project is developed according to plans and specifications.
• Support and direct contact with the Project Management, whenever there is one.
• Issues the minutes of the Construction-work coordination meeting
• Approve construction sequences and methods with the planner.

Ability to design and draw in Autocad

• Be the support in construction for planners and/or designers.
• Review construction Change Orders.
• Supports the “Package Managers” in the review and demands of the packages from the contractors.
• Controls the progress of Contractors, both in production and planning.
• Verify the Quality Plans of contractors and subcontractors.

Review the operation and maintenance manuals

Responsible for carrying out the entire project, from the design, the budget according to the design or project, contracting, execution, monitoring and closure.

Additionally, the person must participate and collaborate in the Management System implemented through the knowledge and implementation of:

• Compliance with Quality and Environment policies.
• Application of the Manual of Good Environmental Practices.
• Compliance with global SyS policies and standards.

Requirements

To be successful in this position, it is essential to provide:

• Minimum 5 years of solid experience in the position. Use of Office 365, Microsoft Project and Autocad computer tools.
• Training: Technical Architect / Building Engineer / Equivalent Architect.
• Languages: Spanish, Catalan and English at a professional level.
• Technical Competencies: Knowledge and in-depth mastery of the function and its responsibilities, of Health and Safety standards in the work of sustainability standards (60h Certification in PRL).
• Personal Skills: Coordination and planning abilities. High ability to communicate with clients and high ability to generate impact in achieving objectives through other people (contractors).
• It will be necessary to be available to live in the area, Barcelona and to make occasional trips outside said area.
