Role Summary

We are recruiting an experienced Nuclear Safety Engineer to join our Industry Business Unit within the Digital Simulation agency specializing in the areas of scientific calculation, modeling, TMA of scientific applications and studies of complex physical phenomena.

You are rigorous and concerned about the safety of nuclear reactors undergoing renovation or construction, this mission is for you.

The missions of the nuclear safety engineer position consist of defining and controlling developments in the safety requirements benchmarks for nuclear installations for the new reactors of the future.

You carry out safety analyzes (nuclear risk studies and risk analyzes of internal and external origin, etc.) working to demonstrate the safety of the installation.

You define the safety requirements resulting from the analyzes and support the technical disciplines in taking them into account.

You support design or renovation files in taking into account safety principles (containment barriers, defense in depth concept, single failure criterion, etc.).

You participate in the formalization of method documents for carrying out safety studies.

You contribute to the drafting of safety documents (RDS, etc.).

Your field of expertise

Motivated by scientific calculation issues

Equipped with real analytical and synthesis skills

Driven by the desire to work as a team, to develop benchmarks to demonstrate the safety of installations, to provide advisory support with the engineers applying these benchmarks, and to verify the correct application of these benchmarks.

Requirements

  • Bac+5 training with a specialization in the field of nuclear engineering or equivalent university training with similar experience of at least 5 years.
  • You have knowledge of the construction and preparation of safety reports for PWR type nuclear power plants
  • You have knowledge of the French nuclear regulations in force, in particular the normative and methodological safety standards.
  • Experience in Accidental Driving and/or in carrying out Probabilistic Safety Studies would be a plus.
  • Excellent writing skills expected.
