Role Summary

Within a dynamic R&D with a flattened structure, the position holder carries out the design, programming and deployment of computer vision applications including AI in the field of non-destructive testing. He works in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and external partners.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop computer vision software including algorithms and AI.
  • Program algorithms and AI into software products (C++), in collaboration with the AI, software and UX teams.
  • Optimize software and AI performance (multi-threading, GPU, memory management).
  • Contribute to defining the requirements, functionalities and architecture of AI-related software products.
  • Help design, train and validate AI models used in image analysis.
  • Integrate modern continuous integration and delivery practices.
  • Develop automated tests and diagnostic tools to improve reliability.
  • Technology monitoring: staying informed of recent developments in AI and sharing knowledge.
  • Support less experienced designers.
  • Support the introduction and optimize the use of new methods and tools according to the technological direction of the company.
  • Promote inter-site work and ensure an effective and open link with counterparts on other sites.

Requirements

Technical skills

  • University degree in software engineering, computer engineering, electrical engineering, mathematics or equivalent.
  • Master's degree or doctorate, an asset.
  • 5+ years of experience in software development, an asset.
  • Experience with C++ on Windows and Linux.
  • Experience with Angular or React, an asset.
  • Knowledge of signal and image processing.
  • Knowledge of deep learning with Pytorch (CNN and Transformer models).
  • Knowledge of mathematics and statistics, an asset.
  • Intermediate level of English in order to collaborate with international stakeholders.
