Role Summary

As a Commissioning Engineer (m/f/d), you take on a central role in the commissioning of our intralogistics systems in the Airport & Logistic area. You accompany projects from the planning phase to the successful handover and, together with interdisciplinary teams, ensure that our systems function smoothly and safely worldwide. Your contribution ensures that complex systems are integrated efficiently and the highest quality standards are maintained.

Responsibilities

  • You work closely with the project team in the early project phase and analyze project plans, specifications and time frames
  • You coordinate the commissioning activities on site together with the construction management and are the central contact for customers, partners and authorities
  • You carry out software testing (FAT) in collaboration with HLC and LLC software engineers
  • You check the wiring and functionality of sensors, actuators and bus systems using measurements and tests
  • You identify deviations and defects and initiate appropriate measures
  • You ensure the safe commissioning of machines, sub-systems and entire systems in compliance with all regulations
  • You document project progress, test results and daily activities in a structured manner

Requirements

  • Completed training in the field of mechatronics or a comparable qualification
  • At least 2 years of experience in commissioning, ideally in an international environment
  • Sound knowledge of electrical engineering and experience with PLC systems
  • Initial experience in coordinating or leading teams
  • High willingness to travel for international projects
  • Valid international driving license
  • Very good knowledge of German and English
