Responsibilities

• Develop, change and perform maintenance on COBOL/CICS and Natural/Natural One programs, according to technical specifications;
• Support the analysis and resolution of tickets and small incidents in production environments;
• Make corrections and adjustments to existing routines, following technical guidelines;
• Prepare and execute unit and functional tests, using the tools available on the platform, such as KDZ;
• Monitor the life cycle of demands on the platform, ensuring deadlines and quality of deliveries are met;
• Support the analysis of functional and technical requirements;
• Keep the systems’ technical documentation and operational manuals up to date;
• Support the identification and analysis of problems in Mainframe systems;
• Participate in team ceremonies and activities within the Scrum and Kanban methodologies;

Work together with more experienced professionals, seeking technical evolution and knowledge of business rules.

Requirements

• Mainframe and Development
• Basic/intermediate knowledge in Mainframe environment;
• Knowledge of COBOL;
• Knowledge of COBOL/CICS;

Knowledge in Natural/Natural One.

• Database and Files
• Practical notions of DB2;
• Basic knowledge of SQL;

Understanding the structure and manipulation of VSAM files.

• Tests and Tools
• Knowledge or experience in creating and executing test scripts;
• Knowledge of the KDZ tool will be considered important;

Basics of algorithm analysis.

Methodologies

Knowledge of Scrum and Kanban concepts and ceremonies.

• Differences
• Familiarity with data modeling tools such as CASE or ERwin;
• Knowledge of reading and interpreting data modeling diagrams;
• Notions of Structured Systems Analysis;
• Academic or professional experience in projects involving Mainframe;

Experience with maintenance and support of systems in production.
