Role Summary

Owner Opportunity

Tuckahoe, New York

Become a Practice Owner

We’re seeking an experienced DVM aspiring to become a practice owner. Tuckahoe Animal Hospital & Pet Center is looking for the right veterinarian to step into a partnership role with the opportunity to grow into co-ownership alongside Veterinary Practice Partners (VPP).

This role offers the chance to step into leadership, build ownership, and help shape what comes next for a well-established hospital serving Westchester County since 1997. As a Partner DVM, you will help guide the practice’s direction, support the team, and play a meaningful role in its long-term success.

You will not just practice in the hospital.

You will help shape it and share in its success.

About the Hospital

Tuckahoe Animal Hospital & Pet Center is a full-service small animal practice providing individualized medical, surgical, and dental care for cats and dogs at 20 Depot Square in Tuckahoe, New York.

The hospital offers wellness and preventive care, internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, dentistry, nutrition, boarding, and grooming. Board-certified specialists in orthopedics, internal medicine, cardiology, and radiology are available on-site for advanced cases.

The practice features in-house diagnostics through IDEXX and Abaxis, in-house ultrasound, digital radiography, a clean and efficient layout, and cloud-based ezyVet software. The collaborative team includes 2 DVMs, 1 LVT, 1 client care manager, 3 veterinary assistants, and 3 receptionists, providing a 3:1 staff-to-doctor ratio.

The hospital also shares their entrance with a daycare and grooming facility located downstairs from the hospital. This naturally aligns the hospital as the go-to for many drop-off appointments, boarding care and new patients that prefer a one stop approach to their pets daycare and health visits.

There is already a strong foundation in place. It is now ready for the right person to step into leadership and help take it forward.

About the Area

Tuckahoe offers a welcoming village atmosphere in Westchester County with convenient Metro-North access to New York City. The surrounding area combines suburban neighborhoods, local dining and shopping, strong community connections, and easy access to the broader Hudson Valley.

A great place to put down roots while keeping the city within easy reach.

What to Expect

  • Compensation: Competitive base salary plus production, profit participation, and long-term ownership opportunity
  • Location: 20 Depot Square, Tuckahoe, NY 10707
  • Flexible full-time or part-time scheduling; a typical full-time schedule is 4 days per week, every other Saturday, plus an on-call rotation
  • 3:1 staff-to-doctor ratio with an experienced, collaborative support team
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Employer retirement plan contribution
  • Generous PTO, paid holidays, and paid CE days
  • Annual CE allowance and Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
  • Relocation assistance
  • Licensing, dues, and AVMA PLIT covered
