Responsibilities

• Database operations, including monitoring, configuration management, upgrade, scaling, backup, and data migration.
• Iterate on database operations to improve quality and efficiency
• Troubleshoot stability and performance problems
• Contribute to documentation for communicating knowledge, experience and for effective decision-making
• Research and test new tools in database ecosystems, and adopt them in PayPay Group.

Requirements

Tech Stack

| Python, Shell, Go, SQL, PL/SQL

| Aurora, MySQL, PostgreSQL, TiDB, Redis, Valkey, DynamoDB

• More than 5 years of DBA experience with a minimum of 3 years MySQL or PostgreSQL experience.
• More than 3 years of AWS experience in recent years
• Hands-on experience with Infra as Code (IaC - terraform)
• Interested in new technologies and willing to improve operational quality and efficiency
• Familiar with shell and programming language for scripting(Python, Go,...)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in automating operations related to Database or AWS.
• Familiarity with Jenkins, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes
• Working experience in a full remote environment
• Experience in operating distributed systems
• Experience working with NoSQL such as Redis, Valkey and DynamoDB
• Experience working with NewSQL databases (like TiDB)
• Experience with DBs cost reduction
• Experience with DBs Disaster Recovery strategies

Salary

• Annual salary paid in 12 installments (monthly)
• Based on skills, experience, and abilities
• Reviewed once a year
• Late overtime allowance

※Payroll payment can be changed to digital salary payment “PayPay Paycheck” for an amount set by you

Work Hours

• Super Flex Time (No Core Time)
• In principle, 9:00am-5:45pm (actual working hours: 7h45m + 1h break)
