Role Summary

The Civil Engineer will be responsible for the critical analysis, verification and validation of civil engineering projects, focusing on concrete and/or metallic structures, ensuring technical compliance, optimizing solutions and reducing capital costs (CapEx). You will work in close interface with multidisciplinary teams, supporting decision-making through technical studies, executive presentations and engineering recommendations.

Carry out technical verification and validation of civil engineering projects, ensuring adherence to project assumptions, technical standards and customer requirements.

Analyze structural projects in reinforced concrete and metallic structures, identifying opportunities for technical and economic optimization.

Develop engineering studies aimed at reducing CapEx (Value Engineering), without compromising safety, quality, performance and operability requirements.

Prepare technical opinions, memorials, engineering notes and recommendations to support decision making.

Prepare technical and executive presentations for meetings with clients, management and other stakeholders.

Evaluate technical proposals from suppliers and engineering companies, supporting contracting processes and project reviews.

Participate in multidisciplinary engineering reviews (Model Reviews, Design Reviews and Value Engineering Workshops).

Ensure that projects comply with national and international technical standards, applicable codes and good engineering practices.

Work at the interface with disciplines such as Processes, Mechanics, Electrical, Instrumentation, Geotechnics and Construction, promoting integrated solutions.

Identify technical risks and propose alternatives that increase reliability and reduce impacts in cost and time.

Requirements

  • Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Specialization or postgraduate degree in Concrete Structures, Metallic Structures or related areas.
  • Experience in developing, reviewing or validating engineering projects for industrial enterprises, mining, infrastructure, energy or process plants.
  • Experience in analyzing structural projects of concrete and metallic structures

  • Knowledge of modeling and project review tools (AutoCAD, Navisworks, BIM, Tekla, Revit or similar) will be considered an advantage.
