Job description
- Location:
- Canada
- Work arrangement:
- On-site
Role Summary
The future of commerce is played out in stores. The best brands convert digital intent into qualified in-store traffic, offer a personalized and differentiating customer experience, and precisely measure the impact on their revenue.
Booxi is the platform that allows you to manage these experiences, measure them in revenue and predict what they will generate. More than 8,500 points of sale already use us, including those of Dior, Hermès, Sephora and L'Oréal.
We operate in 103 countries from Montreal and Paris, and in 2026 we will continue our European development while beginning to conquer the US market with already great confirmed successes.
To achieve this, we are looking for a CI/CD & Release Architect who will make our delivery architecture a velocity engine: a self-service platform that developers adopt effortlessly, releases that go into production without a hitch, a secure and efficient software chain, and an entire engineering team that knows how to rely on it.
Responsibilities
WHAT YOU WILL FIND AT BOOXI
- A function to be structured: the pipelines exist, the architecture that makes them self-service and secure remains to be built, and you decide where to start
- A modern stack to evolve: GitHub Actions, GCP (Cloud Run, Artifact Registry, Cloud SQL), Terraform, Docker
- A measurable impact: your decisions are directly seen in the velocity of the entire development team
- AI in everyday life: we have already integrated it into our ways of working and we continue to progress
- A human culture focused on flexibility, trust and autonomy
- Sincere attention to your professional/personal balance
- WHAT YOU WILL DO AS A CI/CD & RELEASE ARCHITECT
- You structure the CI/CD function at Booxi: you set the standards, you document learning and you create the conditions for the function to grow with the company
- You architect our GitHub Actions workflows across all our repositories, with reusable workflows and composite actions rather than copying and pasting scripts
- You accelerate our build times: parallelization of matrix builds, Docker layer cache via Artifact Registry, selective execution of tests
- You secure the software chain with Workload Identity Federation, secrets management, signed images and vulnerability scanning, without ever static keys
- You replace manual approvals with automated security and compliance checks, keeping human intervention at the compliance boundaries that warrant it
- You build progressive releases (canary, blue/green, feature flags) on Cloud Run, with automated health checks and rollback triggered by telemetry
- You orchestrate the promotion of environments from dev to production: semantic versioning, generation of changelogs, release verification through our microservices
- You support teams on schema migrations without service interruption, trunk-based development and GitOps workflows
- You measure what the platform generates in terms of velocity (DORA metrics) and you make it visible, both to developers and management
Requirements
- You care for real (Just Care): you treat developers like real customers and the quality of your pipelines is your way of respecting those who deliver to production
- You take ownership (No Passengers): you carry your scope from start to finish without being asked, you find a path even when it is not marked, you signal early what is blocking you and you stay the course when it becomes difficult
- You are a team player (Succeed as One): you create alignment early with other departments, you share information without being asked, you actively participate in cross-team issues, and you know that it is the collective result that counts
- You are Curious to the Core: you question before you execute, you challenge the status quo when necessary and you remain curious about new tools including AI, other teams and our industry
- You choose Booxi: our mission, our market and what it means to build in a scale-up
- 5 years and more in DevOps, release engineering or platform engineering, in a SaaS context in production
- You have an in-depth understanding of GitHub Actions and can tell the story of how you diagnosed a slow or unstable pipeline
- You have already deployed and operated workloads on GCP: Cloud Run, Artifact Registry, IAM, Cloud SQL, MySQL
- You manage your infrastructure in code with Terraform and you are comfortable with Docker
- You have already moved a team from manual or fragile deployments to full automation
- You use AI on a daily basis to help you program and you can name where it changes the way you work
- You know how to defend a platform project to a PM or a manager by talking about marketing, risk and costs, and structure your roadmap so that it can be read without translation
- French as a mother tongue or at professional level, and functional English both spoken and written
- (Asset) You know GitOps workflows on Kubernetes (ArgoCD, Flux) or database migration automation tools
Benefits
WHAT WE OFFER YOU
- Generous vacation policy (min. 4 weeks per year)
- Complete closure of the business from December 25 to January 1
- 2 personal days + unlimited sick leave
- Group insurance
- $300 home office allowance
- Flexible schedule and teleworking
- If you want to build the delivery architecture for a platform that runs in 8,500 points of sale, with the latitude to decide how, we would like to talk to you.
- Apply and help us make commerce more human.
- Role:
- CI/CD & Release Architect
