Role Summary

Direct the personnel in charge of daily operations to ensure the quality of work, providing administrative and technical direction, complying with the policies, standards and procedures established in terms of safety, environment, health and quality.

Detect and eliminate systematic process errors that may compromise analysis results. Generate corrective and/or preventive actions as appropriate.

Schedule and distribute the work of the personnel under your charge, in response to client priorities and work situations that are required.

Validate the analysis reports and confirm them under the quality criteria established by the Laboratory. Authorize the issuance of the test report in Lims.

Coordinate timely supply of inputs and supplies for the development of Laboratory activities. Ensure minimum stocks of materials and reagents to ensure the continuity of operations.

Carry out the evaluation of the EPPS and the status of the tools to provide approval for their use.

Permanently identify and report to the Laboratory Head the accidents, incidents, acts and substandard conditions observed that occur during the development of operations or various entrusted activities.

Carry out the verification of the transfer of instructions to incoming shift personnel, to guarantee the continuity of the work to be carried out in the Laboratory.

Requirements

  • Licensed and certified in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Metallurgical degrees.
  • Minimum experience of 5 years in similar positions.
  • Driver's license from AI.
  • Knowledge of sampling, sample preparation and chemical analysis.
  • Analytical knowledge in wet, volumetric and gravimetric analysis methods.
  • Intermediate English.
  • Quality management system - NTP-ISO/IEC 17025.
  • Knowledge of current mining legislation.

Knowledge of AAS equipment management

  • Have experience in validating and reporting analyzes under the NTP-ISO/IEC 17025 standard.
  • Ability to work in teams and effective communication.
