Challenging job as a future welding inspector

Role Summary

Do you have a completed MBO-3/4 education and are you looking for an organization that invests in you to develop into a certified and fully-fledged Welding Inspector/NDT technician? Then this is your chance! Your possible training program looks like this:

During your first year you start in the position of Assistant and follow MT2, PT2 and Radiation Safety training;

In the second and third year you progress to Junior Welding Inspector and follow VT and RT training;

From the fourth year onwards, you progress to medior level and we look at the further course of your personal development, where advanced NDT techniques can also be achieved, such as ToFD2 and Phased Array2 (but other options in development are also offered).

Your salary increases with each new certificate obtained. Naturally, a specific and appropriate training and development program will be coordinated with you that suits your education level and desired path.

• After completing this training program and gaining the necessary work experience, you will ultimately be able to:
• Perform welding inspections using non-destructive material testing (X-ray, ultrasonic, penetrant & magnetic);
• Reporting the research findings following the inspection;
• Communicate with the customer on location about your research findings;
• Ensure safe working methods in a often complex working environment;

Act representatively and be alert to new potential customers.

Requirements

• In possession of a diploma at MBO-3/4 level (preferably technical)
• Has a VCA certificate or is willing to obtain it (again);
• You don't mind working irregular hours (not an 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. job);
• In possession of driving license B.

About the Company

SGS Industrial carries out various technical inspections of industrial equipment. The NDT department inspects and checks technical installations. From above-ground storage tanks to pipelines, from supervision of the new construction of factories, to inspection during a business shutdown. Our NDT employees examine critical welded connections and determine wall thickness reductions in structures, plate or pipe material.
