Boarding Supervisor

Boarding Supervisor at SGS in English Bay, Atacama, Chile.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise mineral (iron) shipping, sampling, inspection and control operations
• Ensure the correct execution of operations in Puerto Totoralillo and Chemical Laboratory
• Coordinate with client, port authorities, and internal areas.
• Control compliance with operational and contractual deadlines.
• Manage human, technical and logistical resources for operational continuity
• Ensure compliance with the requirements of ISO 17020 and ISO 17025 standards
• Implement, maintain and improve associated operational and technical procedures.
• Actively participate in internal, external and accreditation audits.
• Ensure correct traceability, integrity and confidentiality of technical information
• Lead and develop teams with shift leader and operational staff.
• Ensure continuous training in safety, quality and technical regulations.
• Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
• Define and control operational KPIs (productivity, quality, safety, costs).

Requirements

• University professional: Metallurgical Engineer, Chemical Execution, Laboratory Chemist, Industrial Chemist or related training.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mining processes or mining services. At least 2 years of experience in similar positions supervising work teams and laboratory operations.

Leadership and team management

Experience in Mineral Export Inspection Organizations, sampling and mechanical preparation, laboratory.

driver's license

• Have verifiable work experience in mining product control of at least three years.
• Evaluate the laboratory operation through statistical analysis (trends, control, coefficients of variation), implementing corrective actions when inconsistencies or doubts are detected in the analytical results.
• Design, schedule and implement continuous improvement activities in the quality of analysis, based on findings from audits, complaints, performance evaluations and interlaboratory results.
• Analyze and materialize the additional analysis requirements requested by the Company, ensuring compliance with precision, accuracy and validation criteria according to current procedures.
