You are technically responsible for the backend of our AI platform.

Your focus is on system architecture, AI integration and long-term product quality.

Responsibilities

• Architecture and further development of our Python backend with a focus on AI systems.
• Conception and implementation of RAG architectures for productive use cases.
• Building and maintaining AI pipelines (ingestion, retrieval, context control, inference).
• Design and orchestration of agent workflows including status and error handling.
• Evaluating trade-offs between quality, latency, cost and scalability.
• Ensuring stability, monitoring and long-term maintainability.

Requirements

Duty

• Several years of experience in backend engineering with Python.
• Very good understanding of scalable backend architectures and APIs.
• Experience with productive systems. Not just prototypes.
• Ability to make and represent technical decisions.

Desirable

• Practical experience with RAG systems.
• Understanding of embeddings, retrieval strategies and context management.
• Experience with agent architectures or workflow orchestration.
• Feel for typical AI problems such as hallucinations, drift, latency and evaluation.
