Automation Engineer / Automation Specialist – Interim / Projektvertrag (m/w/d) at Eurofins in Jena, TH, Germany.

Responsibilities

  • You support the commissioning, ramp-up and stabilization of automated line and system modules.
  • You analyze and resolve technical problems during ongoing setup and start-up operations.
  • You carry out hands-on troubleshooting on mechanical, electrical and automation issues.
  • You support tests, adjustments and optimizations of automated production and laboratory processes.
  • You work closely with internal teams from laboratory, production, technology and maintenance.
  • You coordinate technical issues with external suppliers and support the follow-up of open issues.
  • You help to improve the availability, process stability, quality and throughput of the automated modules.
  • You document relevant technical findings, measures and open points in a comprehensible and pragmatic manner.

Requirements

  • Experience in the areas of automation, mechatronics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, production technology or a comparable technical environment.
  • Practical experience with automated systems, production lines, laboratory automation or comparable technical systems.
  • Good understanding of mechanical, electrical and automation technology connections.
  • Strong hands-on mentality: You don't just analyze, you get involved right away.
  • Structured, solution-oriented way of working - even if everything doesn't go perfectly during the ramp-up.
  • Good communication skills when working with internal teams and external partners.
  • Good knowledge of English for technical coordination in an international environment; Knowledge of German is an advantage.
  • Short-term availability for on-site use in Jena.

For our location in Jena, we are looking for an Automation Engineer / Automation Specialist (m/f/d) at short notice to support the ramp-up of automated production and laboratory line modules.

In this temporary role, you will work close to the system, support commissioning, stabilize ongoing operations and help solve technical problems pragmatically and quickly. The focus is clearly on practical implementation, troubleshooting and close collaboration with on-site teams and external suppliers.

The position suits you if you have a mid-level technical profile, like to work hands-on and maintain an overview even in a ramp-up phase with processes that are not yet completely stable.
