Association developer in Kronoberg

Role Summary

We are looking for a relationship-building and enthusiastic Association Developer who wants to work in a role with many contact points and be responsible for starting, supporting and developing our local associations in municipalities and the region in Kronoberg County. The assignment also includes being a support to the union's district association in the same area.

The person we are looking for

We are looking for you who are a member of the Academic Union SSR and have experience in commitment-building efforts as well as current or previous union trust assignments for the Academic Union SSR. You probably have good knowledge and experience from association life and are used to following up and running your own projects. Of course you share the trade union values.

As a person, we envision that you are a driven and relationship-building person who is skilled at arousing commitment from others. To succeed in the assignment, you need to be able to create trust and have a structured and systematic way of working.

About the assignment

As Association Developer, you work closely with our elected officials in the local associations. You must be a sounding board and a support to contribute to development. An important part of the mission is to recruit and enthuse more people to become elected representatives. It's about building and maintaining good relationships. You must support our elected officials in their functions and assignments.

Another part of the assignment is to work supportively in connection with the formation of new associations at workplaces within the municipalities or region in your district. The support for the elected representatives is provided by you holding board training for the associations in the district that need it, as well as holding a basic trade union course together with other association developers.

The assignment is a central trade union assignment from the Federal Chancellery. You are free from your regular position through the shop stewards' act of 20% during which you carry out the assignment as an association developer. The assignment is for 3 years with the possibility of a further 3-year extension.

Your contact person at the federal office is the recruitment manager, but the assignment takes place in close cooperation with the federal ombudsmen responsible for your municipalities and region. You will be part of a network with the association's other association developers from the state and private sector.
