What is TK Maxx

TK Maxx is a department store. Here you will find everything you would expect from a department store: beauty products, clothing, shoes, toys and interior styling. In our department store you ensure that our customers are happy. For our store management, this means that every day is different, because our deliveries are also different every day.

Assistant Store Manager

Due to the size of the department store, the Assistant Store Manager position is perfect for anyone with experience as a Store Manager in conventional retail. Make no mistake, you will be given responsibility and autonomy from the start as you support and replace the Store Manager where necessary. You can apply your expertise and leadership from day one.

We give you all the training and support you need, so that you can further develop into a Store Manager of your own department store.

You will perform best in this position if you

• You are (or have been) ultimately responsible for a commercial location with a turnover of more than EUR 2 million
• Have experience with various personnel management tasks
• Have P&L expertise with commercial insight
• Ideally have a background in a fast-paced, commercial environment and a creative approach to visual merchandising
• Have an open and accessible management style where you treat everyone at every level with respect.
• Have the flexibility to change locations sometimes to gain more experiences.

Responsibilities

What are you going to do with us?

• Together with the store manager you are responsible for achieving the KPIs and monitoring the budgets;
• Conducting all kinds of conversations about HR topics such as recruitment and selection, performance, absenteeism, promotion
• You are partly responsible for sales, stock results, personnel planning and personnel policy.
• Create daily schedules and assign tasks, so that everyone is fully deployed and involved effectively.
• Set an example for your team: You motivate, inspire and develop your team leaders and store employees by providing direct feedback, support and recognition.
• You monitor the TK Maxx model. With your commercial insight, creativity and product knowledge, the department store always looks representative.
