Role Summary
Ensure the operation, reliability and availability of the laboratory's analytical equipment, carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance on chromatographic and spectrometric systems. Contribute to operational continuity, stability of analytical methods and full compliance with Eurofins quality, safety and compliance standards.
- Perform qualifications and preventive maintenance on analytical equipment, focusing on:
- HPLC
- GC/MS
- GC-MS/MS
- LC-MS/MS
Work on fault diagnosis, troubleshooting and identification of root causes in highly complex analytical equipment.
Carry out calibrations, performance tests (OQ/PQ) and maintain traceability of all interventions carried out.
Record maintenance, occurrences and results in internal systems, following quality, traceability and audit standards.
Interact with suppliers and manufacturers (especially Agilent and Sciex) for advanced support, parts procurement and technical resolutions.
Implement and reinforce good practices in the use, installation and conservation of equipment with technical teams.
Support the optimization and stability of analytical methods, ensuring adequate performance of equipment.
Prepare technical reports, maintenance plans, failure analyzes and performance indicators.
Participate in the installation and initial qualification of new equipment (FAT, SAT, IQ/OQ/PQ).
Train and guide users regarding correct operation, preventing failures, reducing downtime and increasing the useful life of instruments.
Requirements
Higher education in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy, Biochemistry or related areas.
- Proven experience in maintenance and troubleshooting the following equipment:
- HPLC (preferably Agilent)
- GC/MS and GC-MS/MS
- LC-MS/MS (preferably Sciex)
- Solid knowledge in liquid and gas chromatography and mass spectrometry.
- Proficiency in data acquisition and processing software (ChemStation, MassHunter, Analyst, among others).
- Knowledge of GLP, ISO 17025 or GLP standards and requirements.
- Ability to read manuals and technical documentation in English.
Desirable requirements
- Experience in environmental, food, pharmaceutical, chemical or analytical laboratories.
- Agilent or Sciex certifications, training or specializations.
- Previous experience with equipment qualification: IQ/OQ/PQ.
- Knowledge of root cause analysis tools (Ishikawa, 5 Whys, Cause and Effect Diagram).
