Accountant (m/f/d)

Role Summary

You will operationally process the ongoing general accounting in the team, including the necessary bookings and account reconciliations

You will support the preparation of financial statements for our six group companies and will be responsible for creating the reporting packages for the French parent company

You are also responsible for preparing and submitting VAT-relevant reports as well as preparing the documents for income tax calculations, tax returns and tax audits, including all necessary bookings

You work beyond the corporate areas and coordinate your topics at the interfaces to controlling, purchase-to-pay and order-to-cash as well as with our business colleagues

• As an active source of inspiration for process improvements, you ensure existing guidelines and implement new legal requirements
• You will provide support with operational commercial and tax law issues that arise
• You are the contact person for our tax advice, auditing and tax auditing
• In this position you will work predominantly hybrid, regular business trips are not required

Requirements

• You have commercial or tax training with further training to become an accountant or have completed a degree in economics
• Several years of operational professional experience in finance and accounting or in a tax consulting company and very good knowledge of accounting according to the German Commercial Code (HGB) and tax law are required. Knowledge of IFRS is an advantage
• You are characterized by a very good analytical understanding and corresponding conceptual skills combined with a very independent and structured way of working
• You are a motivated, committed, flexible and communicative personality with a strong hands-on mentality
• This is complemented by your good Microsoft Office skills and your confident use of Excel
• Very good knowledge of German (from C1) and good knowledge of English round off your profile
