The Account Manager (CM) is a position within the Customer Experience team, reporting to the Director of Strategic Accounts for their market segment. The GC is the primary point of collaboration to deliver value to assigned customers. The customer portfolio has low to medium complexity. The GC is the person responsible for developing strong relationships, providing day-to-day support and technical perspectives to execute an account strategy that maximizes returns for the client and for Steritech.

An essential part of this position consists of orchestrating the implementation of services, ensuring the quality and calibration of specialists evaluating the sites, respecting service level agreements, as well as communicating and escalating problems to higher authorities when necessary.

Additionally, the Account Manager must have an in-depth understanding of the industry's Brand Standards, Steritech protocols and procedures, and the specific requirements of client brands in order to ensure a high level of service and facilitate excellent communication between Steritech and all levels of the client organization.

Requirements

Main Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Customer Relationship Management: Establish productive, professional and consultative relationships with key personnel (franchise and head office levels).
  • Internal coordination: Coordinate the involvement of the vertical team (specialists, support, technical, operations) to achieve performance objectives.
  • Strategic link: Connect the client's stakeholders with the Steritech team (business reviews, senior management meetings, innovation sessions).
  • Market Expertise: Maintain in-depth knowledge of the market segment, share trends and best practices.
  • Performance monitoring: Proactively evaluate quality, calibration, route distribution and manage service agreements.
  • Financial objectives: Achieve growth, profitability and recovery (A/R) targets. Work with the accounting department for overdue invoices.
  • Contracts: Manage contract renewals and price increase negotiations.
  • Planning: Execute strategic plans including financial targets and critical milestones.
  • Needs Analysis: Proactively validate customer needs to add value to their programs.
  • Reporting: Submit required weekly, monthly and annual reports.

Experience and qualifications required

  • Bilingualism (French and English): A major asset for this position.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in strategic sales (B2B) or account management.
  • Experience in the restaurant, food, convenience store or fast food restaurant (QSR) industry.

Leadership and personal skills

  • Autonomy and ability to perform under pressure with tact and skill.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully complete complex projects and initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Effective negotiation skills and keen business acumen.
  • Great attention to detail and strong decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in Google applications (Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Drive, etc.).
  • Availability to travel (car and plane) to meet clients and attend conferences.
  • Passed background checks (driving, criminal record, drug screen).

Education and training

Bachelor's degree in administration, management or related field OR three years of progressive management experience in a service industry OR successful completion of the internal account management course.
