Role Summary

We are looking for two Technical Inspector of Works (ITO) Specialist in Assembly of High Voltage Equipment to join electrical transmission projects, being responsible for supervising and controlling the correct execution of electromechanical assembly activities in the field.

The professional will have the mission of ensuring compliance with the technical specifications, As Built plans, construction procedures and quality standards of the Client, acting as a technical counterpart to the contractor in all activities associated with the assembly of High Voltage equipment.

Responsibilities

Among its main responsibilities are

• Direct and control the assembly activities of High Voltage equipment.
• Supervise the assembly of power transformers, autotransformers, reactors, switches, disconnectors and other electrical substation equipment.
• Inspect the assembly of support structures and foundations associated with the equipment.
• Verify compliance with technical specifications, construction procedures and quality plans.
• Control the correct execution of the work in accordance with the engineering plans and As Built documentation.
• Technically coordinate with the contractor's counterparts in their specialty.
• Detect technical deviations and propose corrective measures during the execution of the works.
• Monitor the physical progress of the work and issue inspection reports.
• Participate in technical reviews, tests and commissioning activities related to the equipment under your responsibility.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality and deadlines standards established for the project.
• Term 2 - 5 months

Requirements

Academic Training

• Title of Electrical Engineer, Civil Engineer, Mechanical Engineer or equivalent profession, awarded by an institution recognized and/or validated by the State, with a minimum training of 4 years.
• Minimum experience of 5 years in inspection of works of High Voltage electrical installations, specifically in activities associated with the assembly of electromechanical equipment.

• Related technical title.
• Minimum experience of 8 years in inspection of High Voltage electrical installations, specifically in equipment assembly.

Or

Minimum experience of 15 years in inspection of High Voltage electrical installations in the specialty of equipment assembly.

Technical Knowledge

• Electromechanical assembly of High Voltage substation equipment.
• Assembly of power transformers, autotransformers and reactors.
• Assembly of switches, disconnectors, measurement transformers and associated equipment.
• Interpretation of electromechanical plans, technical documentation and As Built plans.
• Quality control applied to electrical transmission projects.
• Procedures for assembly, alignment, leveling and adjustments of High Voltage equipment.
• Regulations and standards applicable to electrical substations.
• Inspection and control of works on site.
