We are looking for an Engineer to support the leader in the performance of the project:
What is it?
A professional responsible for ensuring that assigned vehicle programs meet all established safety functional objectives within defined timelines and budgets. His role involves leading technical and financial management activities related to the development and validation of vehicle safety systems, aligning with regulatory standards and third-party safety ratings.

The work of PPL Safety Support is crucial to ensuring the safety and performance of vehicles, ensuring they comply with global regulations and obtain positive ratings in safety tests. Their work directly contributes to protecting end users, reducing risks in product development, and optimizing costs associated with meeting security objectives.
Responsibilities
How do you do it?
It uses a comprehensive approach that combines technical expertise, project management and cross-functional collaboration to ensure that every aspect of the program meets security requirements. This includes:
- Establish and manage financial objectives for security testing.
- Coordinate development and validation activities of components, systems and complete vehicles, focusing on impact testing and restraint systems.
- Implement risk mitigation strategies, identifying root causes of problems, developing design solutions, and validating plans with impact on costs and time.
- Effectively communicate program status and technical risks to leadership teams and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program or equivalent.
- 1 to 5 years of engineering experience.
- A minimum of 2 years of crash/safety related experience is required, specifically in two or more of the following areas:
- Design of vehicle structures for impact performance using computer-aided engineering (CAE).
- Development of retention systems or components.
- Tests in sleigh and/or complete vehicles.
- Experience in program management or as a project manager in security-related products.
- Knowledge of global vehicle safety regulations and consumer qualification requirements.
- Understanding of the vehicle development process through applied professional experience or leadership work.
- Strong skill and competencies in root cause analysis and problem resolution.
- Familiarity with DYNA3D, CATIA/NX/TC, Hypergraph, data/footage analysis and advanced simulation techniques.
- Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program or equivalent.
- Proven track record in leading teams to meet functional objectives and planned program goals.
- Familiarity with multifunctional interaction and conflicts between key functional attributes, such as NVH (noise, vibration and harshness), impact and durability.
- Experience in full vehicle crash testing and/or data analysis.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills (written, verbal and presentations).
- Experience in nonlinear finite element analysis.
