Your area of work: As an International Tax Expert, you will be part of our global tax team based in Eschborn, focusing primarily on indirect tax matters across multiple jurisdictions. A general understanding of corporate income tax will complement your role. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance with international regulations, supporting cross-border business operations, and contributing to strategic initiatives. This role offers exposure to a wide range of international tax topics and collaboration with stakeholders across Europe and beyond. Your responsibilities:
- International VAT/GST Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate filing of indirect tax returns across multiple jurisdictions, including coordination with local advisors and authorities.
- Cross-border Advisory: Provide guidance on indirect tax implications of international transactions, supply chains, and service models, assist in decision-making processes.
- ERP Integration & Process Design: Lead VAT-relevant process design and classification in SAP S/4HANA(Sales & Distribution, Material Management), including tax determination implementation and testing.
- Tax Risk Management: Identify and mitigate indirect tax risks in international operations; support internal audits and control reviews.
- Tax Strategy & Optimization: Contribute to global tax planning initiatives, including VAT efficiency and recovery strategies.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a key contact for internal departments (e.g., Finance, Legal, Procurement)and external advisors on indirect tax matters.
- Regulatory Monitoring: Stay abreast of international VAT/GST developments and assess their impact on the Group's operations. Your profile:
- University degree in economics, law, or a related field; advanced tax qualifications (e.g., Steuerberater, CTA,ADIT) are a plus.
- Several years of experience in indirect and corporate income tax, ideally in a multinational corporation or international advisory firm.
- Strong expertise in international VAT/GST regulations, especially in European jurisdictions but also beyond.
- Experience in corporate income taxes and other relevant reporting obligations is an asset
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP S/4HANA preferred), including tax-relevant process design and implementation.
- Business fluent in English and German; other languages are an asset.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work independently in a global organization and manage multiple international stakeholders andpriorities.
